Founded in 1928, in Lennox, South Dakota, by Art B. Thomas, the carnival is now based near Austin, Texas, and is providing its 86th  season of summer fun and excitement for fair-goers, including 45 events in 10 states. The tour starts in Laredo in early February, routes through Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Utah, Arkansas, and Louisiana then returns to Texas, late in October.
The fair will have great family entertainment, livestock show, exhibits, great  food, thrilling carnival rides and some special suprises are in store.  By putting something you made in the fair, you help encourage others especially kids.  The fair needs you. Enter an item (or maybe even several.) It's easy, it's fun and you'll be helping make the fair great community event. Who knows, you may even inspire someone else to be creative. Visit the barnyard nursery!

The 2012 Rapides Parish  Fair will return in October 10-14, 2012. It  will have so much to offer;  you need to come more than once to see it all! Check back for the fair schedule as well as links to each day of the entertainment schedule. Be sure to check back for ride tickets promotions in advance for savings and convenience. See you in 2012.
